We are meeting next Saturday 6th December at 2pm at Roseway car park to plant up the 17 planters with wallflowers for the winter display. Volunteers just need to bring a pair of gloves and a trowel.

Gainsborough in Bloom 2024

We received the results this week at the East Midlands in Bloom presentation event held at St Mary's Church in Melton Mowbray.

Large Town : Silver
Score: Horticulture 27/40,
Environment 19/30,
Community 18/30
Total 64/100

Marshalls Yard were awarded a Silver Gilt award with a score of 83 out of 100 just 2 short of Gold.

Darren Nortcliffe also received the Judges Award for his enthusiasm and knowledge of wildflower meadows and planting and for passing on those skills to the volunteer groups who assist him.

We want to hear from you if:

You are already looking after a public space and maintaining an area, this could be green space, flower display, public street or pocket park.

You are part of a volunteer group who would love to make a difference in the town and help clear up a spot or improve the look of an area with some beautiful plants.

You are working on a project to protect or preserve wildlife.

You have any other skill or interest that you feel would be great for the In Bloom project.
